In recognition of the Symphony’s Centennial Season, Rice University’s Glasscock School for Continuing Studies will offer a six session class on the cornerstone of Houston’s performing arts scene. Join several musicians from the Symphony and a panel of guest speakers as they explore different topics of the Symphony’s Centennial.
Topics include: the search process for the Symphony’s incoming Music Director, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, important moments in the Symphony’s 100 year history and the upcoming presentation of Mahler’s Symphony of a Thousand.

AHA! is hosting “Parish Archives: Preserving Generations of Faith,” on Tuesday, October 15 from 8.30-3.00 at the Church of St. John the Divine.
The workshop will be an introduction to the basic elements of archives will assist attendees in gaining control over their parish records. Presented by St. John the Divine with support from the Archivists of the Houston Area and taught by professional archivists, the workshop will include lecture, discussion, hands-on activities, and the opportunity to ask questions of people who have experience with church records and archives.
