I am very interested in archiving. I've held a job at Harris county public library now for 6 years. I have a degree in social sciences from U of H downtown. What would be my next step to getting involved in archiving? Would a degree in library science be good? any suggestions? Thank you, Barbara kridner

I am seeking the auction catalogs for two large auctions of wealthy Beaumont families held by the Samuel Hart Galleries of Houston. These are for the Rothwell estate held in 1954 and the Yount estate held in 1964. I am also interested in finding information on Robert Harrell who was the interior designer of the Shamrock Hotel.

This is for an article on architecture of the Second Spindletop in Beaumont.

Thank you in advance for any assistance that you can provide.

Hey, all. Happy New Year!

Three of HPL's archivists have begun studying in preparation for taking the CA exam this August. We'd like to have a group of at least five so we can request to take the test here in Houston. Is anyone interested in joining us?
